修復材料學

帶領學生了解各時期藝術家所選擇使用的材料，同時思各式材料因時間及其他因素造成的老化及劣化情形，研究其修復之可能性及方法。

 

課程將特別針對各式天然膠及人工合成膠類，製成不同特性的保護層及隔離層，研究其老化、劣化情形。也將針對顏料部分，探討早期由天然礦物色粉與各種不同的黏著劑(Binder)，所組成的顏料，到目前普遍使用的化學有機顏料之區別，研究其施作流程與老化及劣化特性，進而獲得適當之修復方式。

Materials Science for Restoration

To lead students to understand the materials chosen by the artists at different eras, and think about the possibilities and ways of repairing various materials due to aging and deterioration caused by time and other factors.

 

The course will focus on making protective and isolation layers of different characteristics using different natural and synthetic rubber types in order to study their aging and deterioration conditions. With regard to pigments, the course will explore the differentiation between pigment compositions found in the earlier natural mineral pigments and different binders as compared with the current widely used chemical organic pigments; and study their operating process, aging and deterioration characteristics in order to determine the appropriate repairing methods.
