Digital image design

This is a technical course that focuses on 90% application aspect and 10% theoretical knowledge aspect.

Pixel, the basic imaging resolution unit is used to test the students’ basic imaging software operating abilities before defining the course progress and target control.

This course adopts the “one-case, one- learning” model where one imaging style is taught in each lesson. The teacher will first introduce the imaging style by explaining its history and summing up the design technique and tonality, and then demonstrating the operation skills through an “image broadcasting” approach. The class will be left with about 50 minutes for students to complete the class work themselves as set by the teacher to enhance instant-learning and instant-operating result. Finally, students are required to complete the class work and uploaded it to the designated platform. Each student can view each other works through the platform, give comments and exchange viewpoints. The teacher and students can then conduct post-class counseling, ask questions and reflect opinions through this platform. After 18 weeks, students can learn at least 12 to 16 digital application styles to possess the initial imaging operation and application abilities they should have in the Design Department.
